Re-Photoshoping.
I made the eye smaller aswell so we were able to see all of the eye as it is quite detailed. This looked better and more proffesional. The image before looked "tacky " and looked like the fact that the eye did not fit the page properly was a mistake and not intensional.

Last Minute Change.
At the beginning of the film, i have decided to use a slow soft piano beat. I feel this is what should happen at the start of a thriller film because it will gradually build up tension. This is what i have done. I have chosen to build up different parts of the story by bringing in a new layer everytime something dramatic is going to happen. I have used a piano all the way through the music because i feel that piano is quite classical but also very sugestive of thrillers.
This is a convention of a thriller. The slow music usually suggests something will happen. If the music was more up beat and jumpy the film would not be so jumpy. The music also makes the mind ask questions because the music is so contrasted compared to the actually film. It fits though because of this.

What people thought..
4:00 am by CIA Productions
I watched the 4:00 am film introduction. I believe it starts very well; the music brings the tension up as it is repetitive and methodical. The way the clips are edited makes them look very emotional and interesting. This is down to the fact that they are made to be black and white, and look grainy. Also the shots are mixed in speed. Some are quite quick and punchy, whereas some of the flash back images are really jerky and all piece together to zoom into Issy’s eye. This is a shocking and realistic way of filming the clips.
When the film goes to the room where Issy is on the floor in the corner the frame around the screen, with the clock along the bottom, this looks really realistic and similar to a CCTV image which is what the students are trying to mimic. When the big 4:00 sign comes up on the screen, the mood changes and the actress starts to scream and claw at the walls. This is very realistic and makes the film very thrilling. This film would be classed as a thriller, as it has the major components of one. It has tension and drama, and shocks emotions which are what makes this film good.
What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
A film that is very similar to ours is Firewall which was distributed by Warner Brothers. Unlike Metrodome, Warner Brothers distributes higher budget films. They were able to use big settings and better equipment to film and edit, therefore, the film in total was a lot more widely distributed around the world in festivals and premiers. As our film is low budget and would not be taken on by any big companies we would distribute it via, Facebook, Myspace and Youtube. These ill still be shown around the world but not be advertised anywhere special.
If we had access to better equipment and more money we would be able to make the film a lot more interactive and more detailed. As we don’t however, we have to stick with the basics.

Following The Conventions.
We also went against the way of a thriller film by using the mmusic at the start of the film which include lyrics and isnt really what would be expected. It is more emotional. We used the music at the star tso we could explain the feeling from the males perspecive. We also used a zoom which is never used in a film but we had to work with in because the ground was to bumpy to move in to the actors.
At the start of our project we researched into the conventions and this is what we found.
